If you are 55+, you can use our free counselling service for seniors. If you are 65+, you can take advantage of Better at Home services. Under the Programs / Community section of our website you'll find services available to all ages.
In this section of our website, you'll also find the Seniors Services Handbook, which we update annually. It lists a wide variety of services for seniors, provided by various organizations and governments in our community.
Seniors Counselling
Counselling is available to help improve quality of life, including physical, social, and emotional well-being. This includes short term counselling, emotional support, global assessments of current functioning, education, and referrals to other service providers.
“Better At Home” Services
The province-wide Better at Home program gives seniors access to a range of non-medical home support services such as light housekeeping, basic home repair and yard work. Fees for these services are on a sliding scale based on income.
