Paridon recognized for its role in annual Christmas hamper program

Paridon Horticultural Ltd. has been presented with plaques for its ongoing support of the annual Christmas food hamper program run by Delta service clubs and Deltassist.

Paridon has been providing free cold storage for all the food donated for the Christmas hampers since 2001.

Deltassist and the service clubs of Delta would be hard pressed to store all of the food if it was not for the generosity of Paridon. The space provided in East Delta is big enough to store all the food from October through December before it’s sorted and the hampers are assembled.

Not only does Paridon provide storage space, it also allows service club members to use its equipment to move pallets of food.

On the Saturday before Christmas, all the hampers are ready for delivery so hundreds of service club volunteers descend on the Paridon warehouse to begin their deliveries.
