“Better At Home” Services (Fee For Service)
Better at Home is a province-wide program funded by the Government of BC and managed by the United Way of the Lower Mainland. Deltassist is the service provider for all of Delta. Under this program, seniors have access to a range of non-medical home support services such as light housekeeping, basic home repair and yard work. Fees for service are on a sliding scale based on income.
Seniors Services Handbook
Deltassist has prepared a downloadable, printable handbook which lists useful local services for seniors.
Seniors Community Planning Team
The Delta Seniors Community Planning Team includes three action teams studying support services, housing, and transportation. Each action team assess needs and identifies barriers and gaps, to find solutions in meeting these challenges. The team invites Delta residents “north of 50” to join in learning together and planning for the future of Delta.
